Have you recently bought or received a photoshoot experience voucher through Wonderdays, Virgin Experience, Wowcher or another partner?

I’m Samantha from Hello YOU Studios in Wallisdown, Poole, and this page is here to walk you through exactly how your voucher works, what’s included, and what to expect from your session so you can arrive feeling excited, prepared and ready to make the most of your experience.

 Welcome to Your Voucher Photoshoot Experience

If you’ve been gifted a photoshoot voucher or purchased one yourself through Wonderdays, Virgin Experience, Wowcher or another partner  you’re in the right place. This page will guide you through exactly what happens next, what’s included, and how to get the very best from your experience at Hello YOU Studios in Wallisdown, Poole.

Every voucher booking includes:

  • A professional photoshoot in the studio

  • A complimentary print (8×6 or 12×8 depending on your voucher)

  • £50 credit towards wall art or an album

  • Your £35 booking fee deducted from any package you choose

  • A relaxed, friendly experience with images you can treasure

There is no obligation to purchase additional products but most families fall in love with their images and choose to take home more.

Here’s a simple step-by-step guide of what to expect from the moment you activate your voucher to the moment you take home your finished images.

✨ Step-by-Step: What Happens After Receiving Your Voucher

1. Activate Your Voucher & Book Your Session

Once you choose Hello YOU Studios as your preferred studio, you’ll be asked to:

  • Activate your voucher

  • Pay your £35 booking fee
    (This goes directly to our booking partner, Click, who handle all scheduling)

  • Select a preferred date or wait for us to contact you with availability

Your booking fee acts as:

  • Your commitment to attending

  • A credit that is deducted from any package you choose at your viewing appointment

2. Booking Confirmation

Once your booking is in the diary, you’ll receive:

  • A confirmation email with your session date and time

  • Directions to the studio

  • A reminder of what’s included

  • A note that after your photoshoot, you’ll be able to have a viewing & ordering session on the day of your shoot.  Where you can see your images, order your free print, and choose to purchase more if you wish

3. A Quick Welcome Call (Where Possible)

To help you get the best out of your experience, I’ll try to give you a quick call before your session to:

  • Introduce myself

  • Chat about who’s coming to the shoot

  • Go over outfit and styling ideas

  • Understand the images you’d love to achieve

  • Explain how the viewing appointment works

This helps you feel prepared, relaxed and confident before the big day.

4. Preparing for Your Photoshoot

Ahead of the session, you’ll receive a “how to prepare” guide, including:

  • What to wear

  • What to bring

  • How long the session will take

  • Tips for young children

  • Any special notes depending on the type of photoshoot

If you’re considering purchasing wall art or products, this is a good time to think about:

  • Where you might want images displayed

  • Your home décor colours

  • Who will be included in the portraits

5. Your Photoshoot at Hello YOU Studios

On the day, you’ll be welcomed into our cosy studio and we’ll chat through the session plan.
Expect a relaxed, friendly and fun experience, with plenty of time to get a variety of poses and combinations.

My job is to make you feel comfortable, guide you through everything, and create images you’ll love.

6. Editing & Viewing Appointment

After your shoot:

  • I’ll carefully select and the best images

  • Your viewing & ordering session is straight after your session. 

During your viewing appointment, you will:

    Choose your complimentary print

  • Decide if you’d like to purchase any additional digital images, prints, albums or wall art

At this stage:

  • Your £35 booking fee will be deducted from any package

  • Your £50 wall art/album credit will be applied if relevant

There is no pressure, I’m here to guide you and help you choose what feels right for your family.

7. If You Choose to Purchase

We’ll confirm everything in writing, and:

  • Your chosen products will be ordered

  • You’ll receive an estimated turnaround time

  • I’ll contact you when everything is ready to collect

8. If You Decide Not to Purchase Anything Extra

That’s absolutely fine.

You’ll still:

  • Choose your complimentary print

  • Have it produced

  • And take home a beautiful memory from your session

You are always welcome back for future sessions, milestones or seasonal minis.

WHAT TO EXPECT & FAQ’S

We can’t wait to welcome you to our baby-friendly studio! As parents ourselves, we know those first few days can feel like a whirlwind, so your Newborn Experience is designed to give you a chance to relax, unwind, and enjoy a full cup of tea (while it’s still hot!). Here’s a little insight into what you can expect when you visit us.

CAN I HAVE A MATERNITY PHOTO SHOOT?

Yes! With your voucher, you’re welcome to enjoy both a Maternity and Newborn Photoshoot.

The best time for your maternity session is around 34–36 weeks, just in case your little one decides to make an early appearance. Your session will be completely guided by what you’re comfortable with  it’s all about celebrating you and your beautiful bump.

We have a selection of gorgeous dresses you can use, or you’re welcome to bring your own. We’ll also give you tips on what to wear to make the most of your shoot.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO BOOK A NEWBORN PHOTO SHOOT?

The best time to get your newborn session booked is before your baby arrives  ideally after your 20-week scan. We’ll reserve a space for you around two weeks after your due date, and once your little one makes their appearance, we’ll confirm a definite date and time for your shoot.

You’ll also receive a full prep guide before your session so you’ll know exactly what to expect.

WHEN SHOULD NEWBORN PHOTOS BE TAKEN?

We find that the ideal time for newborn photos is between 7–21 days new. Babies at this stage are still sleepy and curled up, which makes it easier to capture those timeless, snuggly poses.

All newborn sessions take place at our calm, cosy studio in Wallisdown, Poole, and usually last 2–3 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, changing, and cuddles. We’ll have tea, coffee, and biscuits ready and yes, some parents have even been known to have a little nap while we work our magic!

I DON’T WANT NEWBORN PHOTOS CAN I USE THE VOUCHER LATER?

Absolutely! If you’d prefer to wait until your baby is a little older, we recommend booking your session once they can sit up unaided (around 6–8 months). At this stage, you’ll capture big smiles, cheeky grins, and all those wonderful expressions.

WHAT IF…?

We know babies can be unpredictable  and that’s totally fine!

What if my baby needs feeding?
No rush at all  feeding breaks are totally normal. You’ll have privacy and time to feed your little one comfortably.

What if my baby has flaky skin or looks a bit yellow?
No problem! We edit gently to ensure baby’s skin looks natural and beautiful while keeping all those tiny details that make them unique.

What if my baby doesn’t sleep?
We’re in no hurry. With lots of patience and experience (and a very relaxing environment), we’ll make sure we capture gorgeous images whether baby is awake or snoozing.

WHAT SHOULD WE BRING TO OUR NEWBORN SESSION?

When you arrive, we’ll have a chat about what you’d love to get from your session and go over how everything will flow. Sessions are always baby-led if your little one needs extra cuddles or feeds, that’s totally fine.

We have a beautiful collection of props, wraps, outfits, and accessories for you to choose from. If you’d like to bring something sentimental (like a blanket, toy, or keepsake), we love including those personal touches in your photos.

CAN WE HAVE FAMILY PHOTOS TOO?

Definitely! This is often your very first opportunity to capture your new little family together, so we really encourage you to jump in for a few photos.

If you already have older children, we’ll plan the shoot so they can be included at the beginning or end of the session  whatever keeps things relaxed and happy for everyone.

WHEN CAN WE SEE OUR PHOTOS?

Once your photoshoot is complete, you’ll have the option to view your gallery straight after your session while the excitement is still fresh, or you can choose to return for a dedicated viewing appointment around 7–10 days later.

During your viewing, we’ll guide you through your images, product options, and pricing to help you decide what you’d love most for your home.

HOW MUCH WILL I BE SPENDING AFTER MY PHOTO SHOOT?

We offer a beautiful range of prints, wall art, albums, and digital collections — all created to showcase your family’s story in the most timeless way.

  •  Prints start from £45

  • Digital packages from £299

  • Wall art and albums range up to £895

There’s no pressure to buy anything, but most families fall in love with their images and choose to invest between £300–£500. We also offer payment plans if you’d like to spread the cost.
